The Research Institute for Tactical Autonomy (RITA) is a University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) competitively awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense/Department of Air Force to Howard University in 2023. The RITA is structured as a collaborative research and development entity by the Department of Air Force, the RITA’s primary sponsor and core funding source. The RITA leverages the expertise of senior lead researchers from 9 consortium institutions.
About RITA
The mission of the RITA UARC is to develop partnerships between academia, government, and industry to solve real-world tactical autonomy challenges and problems that are critical to our national security through systematic research and development.
